:star::star::star:I know of all the problems in this animation, so be gentle with your critiques. Also, there is no "set in stone" dragon anatomy so my interpretation isn't wrong

This is the second to six walk cycles I'm making for my dragon character, Cenedra

_______________________________________________

These videos are all part of a major 2D animation walk and run cycle project I've set for myself for the summer. I plan to continue working with Cenedra in the fall and develop 3D animations of her.

I referenced a lot of dinosaurs and mammals for her anatomy. Some of the major animals/dinosaurs used were

Tyrannosaurus Rex (hind leg's feet)
Camptosaurus(most of the body, spine)
Cheetahs (shoulders)
Horses (ribs, spine)
Humans (Arms).
Camels (Neck)

Camptosaurus was the most dragon-like to me, and I'll probably continue to reference this dinosaur in the future.
I referenced the movement of horses, dogs, cheetahs, 3D dinosaurs, and camels; so her movement is a mix of all those animals.

Programs Used:
Flash Professionals Cs6
Photoshop Cs6

Thank you. I did alot of the coloring in flash, and the way the program works allow for me to keep detail with each object or symbols. I was able to animate each symbol as it is now. :)

Thank you. I made it because I couldn't bring myself to animate the final animation without having a muscle structure to ensure the accuracy of the movement of the skin over it.

:)Thank you. It actually wasn't that hard. Each muscle you see were symbols I made in flash and I just placed various tweens to have the symbols morph to the keyframes I had set.

thank you. I made it 32 frames to get it smooth like that :). When I was starting to research, I found in one book that 32 frames would get the smoothest animation for a walk cycle.

These were the two main books I used during my research [link] [link]

The first book is great because it explains many variations in movements which is very helpful. At the back of this book it details cartoon animals moving such as a horse, dog and cat. I referenced the hind legs of the horse. Its this book that I found the 32 frame details.

The second book is AWESOME. It has hundreds if not thousands of pictures of people and animals moving in countless situations. Like one example was a horse standing on pieces of wood like a that on a rocking chair and actually rocking them like the toy would. Here is a link to most of the images online [link]

this is done really well, if i do say so myself. once you have finished with the walking animations you should do some flying ones (not saying you have to tho) :aww:

I was planning on making her fly. :) I'm almost done with the refined animation so it is something I defiantly can do soon.
[link]
I plan to use the top ten slides to that image as my reference as if she were jumping off a cliff for flying . If I have time, but I plan to make an animation of the wings anatomy on there on, but I'm still thinking about that.
